Outer Banks Wedding Catering
We just put the finishing touches on our catering menu, and it can be downloaded as a PDF file on our website, www.kaiaskitchen.com. We offer deli style catering with an accent on casual elegance. Our platters are perfect for all kinds of parties whether you're having a casual wedding, baby or bridal shower, wedding brunch, rehearsal dinner, and so much more! We specialize in creating personalized menus to reflect your taste and the theme and/or colors of your event. I just got married myself on Hatteras Island this past year and would be happy to impart any wisdom that I may have picked up in the planning process with interested parties. I am excited about our new menu as I feel that we can offer creative and cost effective alternatives to plated dinners. The link to the actual menu is here. Feel free to email me at dawn@kaiaskitchen.com or call 252-986-2024 so that we can get started on your menu today!
Day at the Docks- Hatteras Village
I just got home from the annual Day at the Docks in Hatteras Village. We participated in the chowder cook-off for the second year in a row. The Breakwater took first place with Island Perks coming in second, but I'd like to think that we gave'em a run for their money. Nonetheless, it was fun, and I think it's good publicity to be a part of the celebration. It's a good chance to see a lot of friends who have gotten lost in the crowds of tourists and hiding at their respective workplaces all summer long. It is the last official day of summer. We were blessed with beautiful weather for the festivities, and there seemed to be a good turnout. I am thankful to all of the people who worked so hard to put it together for the sake of the Watermen's Association and the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation. I wish I was up to the dance tonight, but it's amazing how ladling hundreds of chowder tastings will wear you out!
